Michael Hughes has a government accredited Diploma in Clinical Hypnotherapy and certification in NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming), as well as being a certified PSYCH-K Facilitator. A member of both the Australian Hypnotherapy Association and The Australian Society of Clinical Hypnotherapists, he has also gained acceptance into The International Medical and Dental Hypnotherapy Association.
His interest in hypnotism began when he witnessed a private demonstration whilst on holidays in The Barrington Mountains when he was 11 years of age. This sparked a lifelong interest in the human mind and a searching for answers to the eternal mysteries of life and beyond. The Harmony & Health Hypnotherapy Clinic is located in the Newcastle suburb of Cooks Hill and is dedicated to helping people free themselves from their current life blocks and in living to their full potential.
Clinical Hypnotherapy is not to be confused with the image of the stage hypnotist, whose performances whilst genuine, are purely for entertainment.
Clinical hypnotherapy is carried out in a calm and relaxed environment and is a normal and natural experience. The trance state is of heightened subconscious awareness, and as such, you are aware of what is happening and are at no stage 'under the control' of the therapist. In fact, with Clinical Hypnotherapy it is you who makes the changes, subconsciously, the therapist is the guide and facilitator. Clinical Hypnotherapy has never been known to cause any detrimental side effects and is a safe modality that will assist you in making the changes you are seeking.
